Dhangethi Cultural Centre
Dhangethi Cultural Centre, established in 1997, is a landmark in preserving the centuries old arts and crafts of this country, ensuring that younger generation and visitors may have the opportunity to witness traditional lifestyles and craftsmanship of the Maldives.
You will visit the residence of the island chief, fisherman’s house with traditional tools and equipment used in fishing, labor room equipped with the bare utilities for childbirth, kitchen, where cooking is done on a wood fire, traditional bathroom, where water is drawn from the well, blacksmith’s shed. You will also see the mat weaving, thatch making and many more.
Make the most of your trip and take up catamaran, windsurfing or cannoning offered by our water sports centre. Have a fun time in the water by making the most of our instructors offering all the training and equipment needed to make your holiday a blast.
Though it may be not be comparable to a shopping centre, the island shop has quite a variety ranging from souvenirs, t-shirts, sun creams and a whole range of goods essential for the guest.
Scuba Diving for the complete novice or for the professionals would be an experience at Ranveli. The Ranveli Diving Club with experienced instructors offers the opportunity for you to gain a PADI certificate, from the beginner level to Masters.
Apart from water sports, excursions and diving, there are a range of other activities that you can get involved in. There are games are available free of charge for guests and including pool, table tennis, card games, chess and many more.
