Безусловно все это Вы сможете найти на приватном острове, расположенном в 25 минутах езды на скоростном катере от международного аэропорта города Мале.
Территория отеля небольшая, но вся инфраструктура расположена очень компактно, утопая в великолепной тропической зелени. Весь остров можно обойти за 15-25 минут. За это время Вашему взору предстанут: Fen бар, расположенный совсем рядом с зоной reception, где только пребывшие гости отеля могут скоротать время перед заселением; infinity-бассейн, с подсветкой а-ля ночное небо, предоставляет возможность насладится захватывающими видами океана; в нескольких шагах от бассейна расположен ресторан международной кухни Turquoise; далее уже ближе к номерному фонду можно найти главный ресторан международной кухни Vela, где сервируют завтраки шведский стол; по соседству расположен ресторан Etesian, где можно побаловать себя морепродуктами; в классическом понимании романтического вечера на Мальдивах Вы можете поужинать в a’la carte ресторане Sand (кухня стран Индийского океана) в непосредственной близости к океану; и наконец главной жемчужиной a’la carte’ов отеля Velassaru можно без сомнения назвать японский/гриль ресторан Teppanyaki, который расположен прямо над водой; с первыми номерами deluxe bungalow рядом стоят центр водных видов спорта Glide и Photography Lounge; между beach villas расположены спортивные составляющие отеля (теннисный корт и небольшой фитнес-центр, соседствующий с Velassaru Lounge, где по предварительному запросу туристы ,ожидающие вечернего трансфера, могут провести время в комнатах отдыха, оснащенных душем); ближе к номерам water bungalow обосновалась уютная chill зона с пуфами и креслами-качалками возле одноименного бара – идеальное место для встречи заката на острове; ближе к номерам water villas расположился надводный SPA-центр (10 кабинок, в том числе 2 для пар), а на обратном пути на reception также можно найти надводный дайвинг-центр (PADI).
В отеле постоянно проводится реновация номерного фонда. В течение этого года были обновлены номера категории deluxe villas: вместо паркета положили мрамор, освежили мебель и ванные комнаты. Также можно добавить что в качестве дополнительной кровати в номерах категории deluxe villas идет, расположенная в каждом номере, угловая раскладная софа (дополнительных 2 спальных места). В номерах категории water villas предоставляют rolling-bed.
Хотелось бы отметить позицию отеля по сохранению деревьев и экономии использования бумаги – вместо привычной концепции отеля и различных буклетов в номере на столе, всю нужную и полезную информацию (включая вывод счетов за обслуживания) гости могут найти на экране сенсорного TV. Исключения все еще делают для гостей старше 60 лет.
По всей территории отеля есть бесплатный wi-fi.
Что касается развлекательной программы – отель приглашает местный live-band несколько раз в неделю для создания приятной вечерней атмосферы в ресторанах, раз в неделю устраивают DJ’ские сеты, а также вечерние киносеансы под открытым небом. Из утренней/дневной активной программы обязательны к посещению: бесплатный круиз на лодке ранним утром с 7-30 до 8-30/ 4 раза в неделю, бесплатные снорклинг туры с гидом на домашнем рифе 2 раза в неделю, бесплатные групповые занятия йогой на закате с 17-30 до 18-30/ 3 раза в неделю (по предварительной записи-10 человек в группе).
Менеджмент и персонал отеля невероятно приветлив и внимателен к гостям. За все время время пребывания в Velassaru Вы будете окружены постоянной заботой, искренними улыбками и неподдельным интересом хорошо ли проходит Ваш отдых.
Отель располагает удивительно красивой лазурной лагуной и хорошим домашним рифом, хотя и немного удаленным (до большого рифа можно доплыть за 20 минут). Пляж заслуживает отдельной похвалы – на юго-западной стороне острова идеальный песок, как мука, чем и славятся Мальдивские острова.
Резорт ориентирован на пары без детей, молодожен. Для семей с детьми стоит сделать пометку, что в отеле мало что предусмотрено для детей в плане развлечений. Советуем для спокойного размеренного отдыха на лоне пейзажей райского острова.

Your experience will start from Male. The hotel has a good quality yacht, the journey takes approximately 20 min.
The resort is very calm and relaxing.
I would recommend it for couples and honeymooners. Or family with small kids who don’t need kids club activities.
The Island is green and natural. The entrance to the ocean is perfect around the all island.
Water Villas (not water bungalow) have a great privacy. You will not see or hear anyone around except only if people will go to swim.
There is a lounge area for the later check out guests.
I would advise to book Velassaru Indulgence meal plan because guests have possibility to go to a la carte restaurants in case they are going to stay more than 4 nights.
Food has a good quality and enough choices for different nationality.

Small, but green and cosy island. A lot of palms and also flowers, so you can even smell the island

Pool villa is the biggest one and only 1 unit
Most of beach villas are a little bit far from the beach
Beach villas with pool are on the beach
Very good sea life) mantas, sharks, a lot of different fish, even near to water villas
They have cinema under the stars, sunset bar
A’la carte restaurants are very very delicious
Resort has lounge for late departure guests with showers
I would recommend this resort for adults, for couples, for honeymooners
For children they have completely nothing
Very relaxing atmosphere
Very good beaches, lagoon
From the side of water villas you see Male, so in the evening it’s like in Dubai)

The island is not big, no bicycles, possible to walk around in short time. It is green but medium dense greenery. Laid back, classic, calm, traditional Maldivian resort. Very relaxing atmosphere. The resort was built as one of the first in the Maldives. Last renovation was done in 2009. There is minor enterntainment like DJ happening some days in the evening.
Speedboat 25 min (transfer is by very nice, comfortable & air conditioned yacht)
The lagoon is wide. Therefore it is not easy to swim to the edge of the house reef (can be possible only for professional swimmers) There is nice are for snorkelling ling inside the lagoon with nice corals and many different fishes that is located in front of Deluxe villas (120 – 130 on the map). Very nice soft, fine beach, one of the best in the Maldives with smooth entrance to the water. There is very wide beach in front of the main pool. Also very wide beach in front of the SPA. Convenient for the special occasions.
Kids are allowed, but there are no kids facilities (kids room for example or nanny)
Experiences include but not limited to Velassaru living galary, photo studio. Starndard number of water sports & diving activities, excursions. Complimentary guided snorkelling. Complimentary cruise in the morning,
four times a week (7:30am-8:30am). Complimentary sunset beach yoga class,
three times a week (17:30-18:30 hours). Complimentary snorkelling equipment
tours on the house reef, twice a week. Tennis court .
Great food quality, choice, beautiful presentation in a-la-carte restaurant. Very attentive service.
Great resort for honeymooners, families that don’t specifically need kids facilities, tourists who prefer calm, traditional, classic resorts with proximity to airport.

I was impressed by this cosy island with amazing beaches and soft white sand like powder. The resort is located on South Male Atoll in 20 minutes by boat from Male. It provides a transfer by a comfortable branded boat. From the moment you start your journey you will feel a touch of luxury.
This boutique resort is a part of Small Luxury Hotels of the World. It has 129 spacious rooms for families and couples. Most of all I liked Water villa for its total privacy and comfort. Spa center is amazingly beautiful. The bespoke treatments are just great. The staff is really professional. After treatments you can have a rest in a big lounge with a swimming pool facing the sea. It’s a very special and authentic area at the resort.
You have 7 different dining options including 5 restaurants and 2 bars. In a La carte restaurant Etesian you can have an amazing culinary journey in my opinion. There is no house reef near the coast. But you can see a lot of very colorful and big fish just near the coast. I liked to snorkel here very much. There may be weak water currents in some parts of the island. You can see it on a resort map. Also you can take a guided trip by boat to remote reefs and experience professional diving or snorkeling there. There are no kids club or activities for children. Seems very few children come here. That’s why I would recommend Velassaru mostly for couples and romantic getaway. In this resort you can enjoy beach, food, relaxing atmosphere, sport/water sport activities and excursions.
