Maldives Tourism Travel Updates

Maldives tourism continues to gradually recover due to the implementation of the maximum safety and security policies for all the guests, employees as well as the general public with minimal inconvenience.

As of 29th July, a total of 600,252 tourists have arrived in the Maldives this year so far. With major markets fully recovering, new markets emerging and 27 scheduled airlines operating, tourist arrival is steadily growing high.

Here is the latest on travel requirements

  1. ALL inbound tourists including those who have completed the prescribed dose(s) of Covid-19 vaccines and recovered from Covid-19 should hold a negative PCR test result for a sample taken at most 96 (ninety-six) hours before departure from the first point of embarkation.
  2. Only the Tourist Facilities and Tourist Guesthouses that meet the requirement of the mandatory staff vaccination will be allowed to operate.
  3. All air travelers over the age of 2 need to wear masks during the flight.
