Maldives Celebrates 60th Independence Day

Today, the Maldives proudly marks 60 years of independenceA significant national milestone. This historic day, July 26th, commemorates the moment in 1965 when our island nation peacefully ended its status as a British protectorate and stepped forward as a fully sovereign country. Thanks to the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Ibrahim Nasir, we took control of our destiny and began shaping the Maldives into the world-class destination it is today.
