With over 19 years in the hospitality sector, Azzam is recognized for his ability to enhance guest satisfaction, streamline operations, and develop high-performing teams. His career spans leading brands such as Taj Exotica Resort & Spa, The Ritz-Carlton Maldives, JW Marriott Maldives Resort & Spa, and Centara Grand Island Resort & Spa Maldives.
Beginning his journey on the frontline as a waiter at Taj Exotica, Azzam quickly progressed through supervisory and management roles, gaining hands-on expertise in luxury dining operations. His experience includes multi-outlet management, revenue optimization, and service quality enhancement, establishing him as a transformational leader in the Maldives’ competitive resort sector.
Prior to joining Madifushi, he led Food & Beverage operations at Le Meridien Maldives Resort & Spa by Marriott, where his initiatives drove one of the brand’s highest guest satisfaction scores for F&B in the APEC region during late 2024.
A Blend of Leadership and Academic Insight
Azzam’s professional accomplishments are reinforced by his academic background, holding an MBA from Asia e University, Malaysia (2025) and a Bachelor’s in Business Administration from the Maldives Business School. He is also an alum of the Marriott Kurimagu Future Leadership Program, further enhancing his strategic and operational capabilities in dynamic hospitality environments.
