After nine years of relentless training and sacrifice, Azneen finally achieved his lifelong goal, taking home the overall Mister Maldives title along with first place in the Bodybuilding Open Category. Representing the Police Club, Azneen triumphed over formidable competitors including FitCon’s Ismail Shuau Abdullah and Gymnasia’s Hussain Riyaz.
The crowning moment was made even more special when Male’ City Mayor Adam Azim presented him with the trophy. Overcome with emotion, Azneen invited his parents onto the stage – the two people he credits most for his success. In a heartfelt gesture that moved everyone present, he lifted his mother in celebration, fulfilling a promise he had made years ago: that one day, he would dedicate the title of Mister Maldives to her.
“I promised my mother that I would bring this trophy home to her – and I’m proud to have finally kept that promise,” said Azneen.
A seasoned athlete, Azneen is no stranger to victory. He has claimed the Sports Physique Category title five times and secured three consecutive gold medals at the South Asian Bodybuilding Championship. Known for his discipline and consistency, he’s often cited as one of the Maldives’ most inspiring athletes.
But Azneen isn’t stopping here. With his latest win behind him, he’s already preparing for his next challenge – the World Bodybuilding Championship in Indonesia, where he aims to continue his winning streak in the Sports Physique category.
