Travelers planning a stay at Bandos Maldives between July and November 2026 should be aware of an upcoming villa enhancement project taking place on the island.
Bandos Maldives has announced that demolition and construction work for its Garden Villas, as well as the development of new washroom facilities near the swimming pool area, will commence on 01 July 2026 and are expected to be completed by 30 November 2026.
As part of the project, all Garden Villas will be temporarily unavailable for bookings during this period.
Guests with existing confirmed reservations in Garden Villas between 01 July and 30 November 2026 will receive a complimentary upgrade to the next available room category. Additionally, travelers who prefer to cancel their reservation due to the construction works will be eligible for a waiver of any applicable cancellation fees.
To help minimise disruption to guests, the resort has stated that the construction area will be fully fenced off and all necessary safety measures will be implemented throughout the worksite and surrounding areas. Since the villa structures are prefabricated, the project is expected to have limited visual impact and minimal noise disturbance.
Construction activities will take place daily between 08:00 and 18:00.
The redevelopment project forms part of the resort’s ongoing efforts to enhance guest facilities and improve the overall holiday experience.
