Following the success of its debut edition, BOTTEGA Gala Gold is returning to Atmosphere Kanifushi Maldives from 12 to 14 November 2026, bringing three days of Italian wines, curated dining experiences, lifestyle events and island entertainment to the Maldives.
Created in collaboration with Italian winery Bottega S.p.A., the event combines wine-led culinary experiences with relaxed moments by the ocean, culminating in the signature BOTTEGA Gala Gold celebration beneath the Maldivian night sky.
A Celebration of Italian Winemaking
The 2026 edition will be led by Dario Camilotto, Export Manager for India, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Maldives, East Europe and Oceania at Bottega S.p.A., alongside Elena Schipani, Bottega’s Head Sommelier.
Throughout the programme, they will guide guests through selected wine pairings while sharing insights into the wines, their characteristics and the reasons behind each pairing.
Sandro Bottega, President of Bottega S.p.A., expressed his enthusiasm about returning to Atmosphere Kanifushi for a second year, highlighting the opportunity to introduce guests to Italian winemaking in a setting designed for relaxation and enjoyment.
Day One: Vegetarian Fine Dining at JUST VEG
The three-day celebration begins at JUST VEG, the Maldives’ first fully vegetarian restaurant, with two evenings dedicated to a specially created tasting menu.
Guests can enjoy a selection of Bottega wines paired with the menu, beginning with a sparkling welcome and continuing through a carefully curated sequence of dishes before concluding with a classic Italian-inspired finish.
The experience brings together vegetarian cuisine and Italian wine in an intimate island setting, offering guests an opportunity to explore flavours at a relaxed pace.
As part of the Kanifushi Plan™, experiences at JUST VEG are complimentary for resort guests, while advance reservations are recommended due to limited seating.
Day Two: A Relaxed Afternoon at PIER SIX
The programme continues at PIER SIX, where the atmosphere shifts from fine dining to a relaxed afternoon beside the water.
Guests can enjoy Asian-inspired flavours and handcrafted dim sum accompanied by selected Bottega wines and signature cocktails.
The waterfront setting provides a more casual counterpart to the previous evening’s tasting experience, allowing guests to enjoy the afternoon while discovering different wine and food combinations.
Day Three: BOTTEGA Gala Gold
The highlight of the programme arrives on 14 November, when the celebration moves to SPICE for the BOTTEGA Gala Gold evening.
Guests can look forward to an expansive international buffet complemented by live cooking stations, Bottega wines, signature cocktails and Italian liqueurs.
Adding to the atmosphere will be a five-piece live band, creating the soundtrack for an evening of dining and entertainment beneath the Maldivian stars.
Unlike the limited-seating fine dining experiences, the grand BOTTEGA Gala Gold celebration is open to all guests staying at the resort.
Wine Experiences Throughout the Stay
The Bottega experience extends beyond the three-day event itself.
Bottega wines and Prosecco are available year-round at Atmosphere Kanifushi as part of the Kanifushi Plan™, giving guests the opportunity to enjoy the Italian winery’s selections throughout their stay.
The event also forms part of the resort’s broader Atmosphere Core Wine Program, which focuses on creating accessible and memorable wine experiences within the relaxed setting of the Maldives.
