From December 29, 2024, to January 2, 2025, Jumeirah Olhahali Island invites guests to experience a unique culinary event at Shimmers, its Mediterranean beachside restaurant. This exclusive pop-up, hosted in collaboration with Jumeirah Capri Palace’s acclaimed 2-Michelin-starred restaurant, L’Olivo, brings the vibrant tastes of Italy to the Maldives.
Chef Salvatore Elefante, Executive Chef of Jumeirah Capri Palace, will present a specially curated Mediterranean menu. Known for his innovative approach to Mediterranean cuisine, Chef Elefante combines traditional Italian flavours with a modern twist. His career includes roles at top establishments such as De Russie in Rome and Hotel Rome in Berlin, and he has been a key figure at L’Olivo since 2007.
The limited-time set menu features a selection of exquisite dishes, including delicate scampo with zucchini, colonnata’s lard, ribes, and citrus fruits, as well as tagliolini with red prawns, burrata cheese, sea asparagus, and oyster leaf. Guests will also enjoy a signature lobster ‘Caprese style’ and a decadent dessert of wild berries, rice, cherries, raspberries confit, and almond cream.
This Michelin-starred dining experience is part of a wider festive programme at Jumeirah Olhahali Island, which includes a variety of activities to enhance the holiday season, from tree lighting ceremonies to bespoke gala dinners, offering guests unforgettable moments in the Maldives.
