A Culinary Journey with Chef Eunji Lee
Chef Eunji Lee, born in South Korea, has built an impressive career in the pastry arts. Her journey began in France in 2006, where she trained at prestigious establishments including Ze Kitchen Galerie, Le Meurice, and under renowned chefs Alain Ducasse and Cedric Grolet. She later became the Executive Pastry Chef at Jungsik in New York City and opened Lysée in 2022, a boutique dedicated to her edible art.
Her accolades include being named one of La Liste’s Pastry Talents of 2023, Food and Wine’s Best New Chefs of 2023, and a 2024 James Beard Award Semi-finalist for Outstanding Pastry Chef.
Exclusive Pastry Workshop and Custom Desserts
During her stay at JOALI Maldives, Chef Eunji will offer an intimate pastry workshop on 7th September. Guests will have the opportunity to create their own éclairs, learning to make local fruit compote and vanilla cream, and mastering the art of piping. This hands-on experience will be held in the resort’s Her Kitchen, a luxurious space designed for culinary exploration.
In addition, Chef Eunji will present a special dessert menu throughout her visit, featuring Lysée cake, mango tart, and a local fruit cake.
