One of the highlights of the enhanced Gili Lagoon Retreat is its new 65-metre walkway.
The walkway connects the villa directly to Three Palm Island. Guests can move easily between the overwater retreat and their private island.
Mornings can begin with a private breakfast on the sand. During the day, guests can relax on the secluded beach or enjoy the miniature sandbank. In the evening, the island becomes a peaceful setting for sunset drinks.
The experience offers two classic sides of a Maldives holiday in one retreat: life above the lagoon and time on a private beach.
Spacious Two-Bedroom Overwater Retreat
Designed for up to four guests, the Gili Lagoon Retreat features generous indoor and outdoor spaces.
The master bedroom includes a king-sized bed and daybed, while the separate guest bedroom has its own en-suite facilities, outdoor shower and pantry.
At the centre of the retreat is a large deck overlooking the lagoon. It includes a dining area, an overwater sun deck and direct access to the ocean.
Inside, guests can enjoy a comfortable living and dining area, as well as a pantry with a mini wine chiller.
The retreat also features a private steam room and wellness and workout space, allowing guests to stay active and relax in complete privacy.
A Strong Connection with Nature
Gili Lankanfushi’s signature connection with nature continues throughout the retreat.
The semi-open-air private bathroom features a bathtub, glass-walled shower and direct ocean access.
Above the retreat, a private rooftop terrace provides another quiet space. A daybed and traditional Maldivian swing create an inviting setting for relaxing afternoons and watching the sunset.
Each guest also receives a bamboo bicycle for exploring the island.
Other in-villa amenities include a Bose sound system, Nespresso machine, minibar and chess table.
Guests also have access to the resort’s Mr./Ms. Friday private butler service 24 hours a day. The team can arrange private dining, island experiences and personalised activities.

The enhanced retreat allows guests to enjoy Three Palm Island as an extension of their stay.
Private sandbank picnics, sunrise breakfasts and sunset cocktails can be arranged on the island. Refreshments can also be provided for relaxed days between the beach, sandbank and lagoon.

Crafted by the Gili Lankanfushi Team
The new walkway was designed and completed by Gili Lankanfushi’s in-house engineering team.
The project uses Yellow Balau timber for the upper deck and Pine timber beneath it. Marine-grade fittings and fasteners were selected to suit the island environment.
The project highlights the resort’s focus on craftsmanship while maintaining the natural character of the island.
