Sun Siyam Olhuveli Maldives is set to welcome award-winning Indian food creator Kabita Singh, the creator behind Kabita’s Kitchen, for a special culinary residency in October 2026. The collaboration will form part of the resort’s celebrations for International Chefs’ Day on 20 October 2026, bringing Indian home-style cooking and plant-forward dining together in a Maldivian island setting.

Kabita’s Kitchen Comes to the Maldives
Known for making Indian home cooking accessible to a global digital audience, Kabita Singh has built Kabita’s Kitchen into one of India’s most followed food platforms. Her content covers regional favourites, vegetarian dishes, festive recipes, street-food classics and everyday family meals.
During her residency at Sun Siyam Olhuveli, Singh will join the resort’s culinary team for a live cooking experience designed to give guests an opportunity to see her cooking philosophy in action.
The collaboration will combine Singh’s focus on familiar Indian flavours and wholesome cooking with Sun Siyam’s Plant Based Bliss philosophy, which highlights the nutritional and holistic benefits of plant-forward dining.
A Celebration of Plant-Forward Indian Cuisine
As part of the International Chefs’ Day programme, Singh will cook alongside the resort’s chefs during a live session for guests. The specially curated menu will feature vegetarian, vegan and health-conscious dishes inspired by her approach to Indian cuisine.
Guests will be able to watch the dishes being prepared, discover the techniques and stories behind the recipes, and sample Singh’s interpretation of plant-forward Indian cooking.
The experience also highlights how food can become a meaningful part of a holiday, bringing together culinary discovery, cultural flavours and social interaction.
From Digital Kitchen to Maldivian Island
Kabita’s Kitchen has grown from a home-cooking channel into a major food platform, with approximately 14.6 million YouTube subscribers. Singh’s work has also received national recognition. In 2024, she received the Best Creator in Food Category award at India’s inaugural National Creators Award.
Her appearance at Sun Siyam Olhuveli offers guests a chance to experience her popular cooking style beyond the digital screen, with Indian flavours presented against the backdrop of the Maldives.
Located in South Malé Atoll, Sun Siyam Olhuveli is part of Sun Siyam’s Lifestyle Collection and offers a broad range of dining, beach, wellness, entertainment and island experiences.
For travellers interested in culinary experiences alongside a Maldives resort holiday, the residency adds another dimension to the destination’s growing food and beverage offering.
