Kuramathi Maldives has shared an important update regarding its ongoing enhancement project, bringing positive news for travel partners planning client bookings for the remainder of 2026.
According to the latest announcement, the enhancement project continues to progress on schedule, with the resort successfully operating throughout the renovation period.
Beach Bungalows Return from 1 August 2026
Following the initial closure of all Beach Bungalows and Superior Beach Villas, Kuramathi Maldives has confirmed that a limited inventory of these room categories will reopen from 1 August 2026.
Guests staying from this date will also enjoy access to an additional section of the house reef, expanding the available snorkeling areas while enhancement works continue in designated parts of the island.
New Water Bungalows with Pool on Schedule
The resort has also confirmed that its new Water Bungalows with Pool remain on track to welcome their first guests from 1 November 2026, as previously announced.
This addition will further strengthen Kuramathi Maldives’ accommodation portfolio and provide travel partners with more premium options for future bookings.
Resort Continues to Welcome Guests
Since the enhancement project began in May 2026, Kuramathi Maldives has remained fully operational, with guest feedback indicating that resort operations continue smoothly despite the ongoing works. Selected areas remain temporarily inaccessible to ensure guest comfort and safety, while the majority of facilities and experiences continue to operate as usual.

To coincide with the reopening of the Beach Bungalows and Superior Beach Villas, Kuramathi Maldives has announced that updated promotional offers for these room categories will be released shortly for the remaining summer travel period.
