Kuramathi Maldives, offered exclusively through Kuoni in the UK, has confirmed the return of the highly anticipated Campioni Soccer Academy for Summer 2026. Set on one of the Maldives’ most family-friendly islands, the programme transforms Kuramathi’s football pitch into a premier training ground, offering young athletes an inspiring opportunity to train with legendary professionals in an unforgettable tropical setting.
Running across two weeks, the 2026 edition brings back an exceptional coaching lineup, featuring two celebrated English football icons-Stuart Pearce MBE and Wes Brown-alongside UEFA ‘A’ licensed coach Adrian Whitbread. Together, they will deliver high-energy, high-impact sessions for children aged 4 to 16, focusing on skill-building, teamwork, confidence, and a love for the game.

2026 Programme Schedule
- Week One: 27 July – 1 August
Led by Stuart Pearce MBE & Adrian Whitbread - Week Two: 3 – 8 August
Led by Wes Brown & Adrian Whitbread
A World-Class Youth Experience in the Maldives
The programme begins with a beachfront welcome reception, where families meet the visiting stars and collect their personalised training kits. From Monday to Saturday, participants enjoy structured, age-specific sessions that cover essential techniques, strategy, and sportsmanship. With hands-on guidance from top-tier professionals, every child receives meaningful personal feedback and a motivational push to grow on and off the pitch.
While children train, parents are free to unwind across the island or join the popular Parents’ Game, a light-hearted mid-week tradition that brings families together in a friendly match.
Reflecting on the success of the 2025 edition, Stuart Pearce MBE shared:
“This year’s Campioni Soccer Academy at Kuramathi was fantastic… Campioni isn’t just about learning football skills; it’s about inspiring young minds to dream big and work hard.”
Wes Brown added:
“Seeing kids improve through the week of coaching is what I enjoy most. The Maldives is the perfect destination for families to experience something truly special.”

Supporting Local Talent
The 2025 programme also welcomed youth players from Thoddoo and Rasdhoo for a special session with John Barnes MBE and Adrian Whitbread. Kuramathi and Campioni plan to continue this outreach in 2026, offering young Maldivian footballers the opportunity to train alongside international legends.
More Than a Training Camp – A True Maldives Experience
Campioni at Kuramathi goes far beyond traditional sports camps.
