Visitor arrivals have climbed from 1.67 million in 2022 to over 2 million in 2024, reflecting the Maldives’ resilience and timeless appeal. The average daily arrivals in 2025 remain close to 6,000 tourists per day, proving consistent interest in our islands even during global shifts.

  •  China (16.3%)
  • Russia (12.3%)
  • UK (8.8%)
  • Germany (7.3%)
  • Italy (6.7%)
  • India (5.8%)

The Maldives offers 1,296 registered tourist facilities with nearly 67,000 beds, of which 97% are operational.

  • Resorts: 183 properties (45,289 beds) – hosting nearly 74% of all arrivals

  • Hotels: 16 properties (2,484 beds)
  • Tourist vessels: 164 liveaboards, perfect for diving and adventure tourism
