Vakkaru Maldives has announced upcoming villa enhancement works as part of the resort’s continued efforts to elevate the guest experience.
From late May through October 2026, selected Overwater Villas will be upgraded with the addition of private pools, bringing a new level of luxury to the resort’s overwater accommodation experience.
Preparation works are scheduled from 20 to 30 May 2026, followed by three project phases running until 31 October 2026.
During the main construction phase from 20 June to 15 September, the overwater jetty will be temporarily closed. However, beach accommodations and key resort facilities, including restaurants, spa experiences, and recreational activities, will remain fully operational throughout the enhancement period.
The resort has confirmed that all works will be carefully managed within designated areas, with work zones screened to minimise visual impact and maintain guest privacy.
For reservations affected during this period, the resort team will assist guests with suitable alternative arrangements where required.
