At Lets Go Maldives, we are committed to keeping our partners and travelers informed about the latest developments across the Maldives. We would like to share an important operational update from Waldorf Astoria Maldives Ithaafushi regarding its Summer 2026 schedule.
Updated Operational Plan for Summer 2026
The renovation works that were originally planned from June 1 to July 31, 2026 have been postponed. This decision was made due to current disruptions in the Middle East that have affected the timely delivery of certain materials required for the project.
As a result, the resort will remain fully operational throughout June and July 2026, with only a brief closure period scheduled.
Temporary Closure for Essential Maintenance
The resort will be closed from June 1 to June 8, 2026 (inclusive) to carry out essential works and the annual maintenance of the 100 series villas.
Operations will resume normally after this short maintenance period.
Restaurant Update
During this time, the renowned restaurant Zuma Maldives will undergo scheduled improvements and will be temporarily closed from June 1 to July 8, 2026.
Aside from these brief closures, the resort’s full villa inventory for June and July has now been reopened and is available for bookings.

Guests visiting Waldorf Astoria Maldives Ithaafushi during this period can continue to enjoy the exceptional service, dining experiences, and luxury island atmosphere the resort is known for.
