Four Seasons is just 25-30 minutes away from the city via speedboat. It is indeed a tropical garden as it is very colorful due to lots of plants and colorful flowers surrounding the island. The resort is like a Maldivian village. There is even a small Maldivian house in the middle of the resort to show the history of how ancestors lived in the past.
The people working there treat the island as home. Most of the employees have been there for years. So a lot of repeaters are used to the great service they provide and that is one of their selling points. They also have this social responsibility of reducing the use of plastics since year 2010. They avoid using plastic as much as possible and use recyclable materials for almost everything. You will first notice it on the way to the island when water is in a glass bottle, on the restaurant when they use paper straws and the only plastic in the bathroom area is the sponge.
They have a marine conservatory as well where they rescue turtles that have disabilities such as missing flippers or the weak ones who won’t make it. They main idea is to release them back to the ocean once they regained their strength or they are big enough to make it on their own.
The rooms are very Maldivian in style and the interior is very cozy. The bed is kind of romantic as the bed posts are laced with white curtains. The outdoor bathroom would give a very beautiful view of the night sky at night.
The resort is not only for couple but for families as well. They also have kids club to entertain children and provide assistance to parents especially if they also want to enjoy sometime alone.
Four Seasons is the first resort to have a spa in Maldives. It is also the first one to have a spa in a separate island. You will ride a small boat to the other island where the spa is located. They said you will feel “zonked out” which means out of mind experience.
Food is exquisite. The serving time is a bit long but it is definitely worth the wait. The great thing about the menu is you will see what is included in your food, for example (A) if it includes alcohol or (N) if it has nuts. This is great for people who have dietary requirements or may have allergies to certain ingredients.

FOUR SEASON RESORT MALDIVES AT KUDA HURAA – первый отель международной сети класса люкс, построенный на Мальдивах . Расположен в атолле Северный Мале, в 20 км от международного аэропорта Велана, 30 минут на скоростном катере. Функционирует с 1997 года, последняя реконструкция была проведена в 2014 году.
Отель построен в стиле традиционной мальдивской деревни с использованием запрещенного сейчас кораллового камня, что придает острову аутентичный облик. Однако интереьер в номерах очень изысканный и современный.
Гостям ежедневно предлагается множество активных и познавательных развлечений на территории отеля и за его пределами. Спа-центр The Island расположен на отдельном острове куда можно доплыть на традиционной лодке «дони». Также, гостям отеля предоставляется возможность совершить круиз на роскошной яхте Four Seasons Explorer (39 м, 10 кают и один suite). На территории отеля есть научный центр по исследованию и защите подводного мира, в особенности черепах, в программах которого гости также могут принять участие.
Кухня, представленная в отеле, разнообразная и очень высокого качества. На острове расположены 4 ресторана и 2 бара. Кроме того, гости могут воспользоваться принадлежностями для барбекю на песчаном пляже соседнего маленького острова.
Из недостатков можно назвать слишком близкое расположение других островов и резортов ниже по уровню и ценовой категории.
Однако, отель успел наработать достойное количесво постоянных клиентов, которые возвращаются отмечать годовщину свадьбы после свадебной церемонии на острове.
FOUR SEASON RESORT MALDIVES AT KUDA HURAA is the first luxury hotel of an international chain built in the Maldives. Located in the North Male atoll, 20 km from the international airport Velana, 30 minutes by speedboat. The resort was founded in 1997, the last reconstruction was in 2014.
The hotel is built in the traditional Maldivian village style, the walls of bungalows are made of coral stone, which is forbidden to use for constructions now and which gives the island an authentic look. However, the interior of the rooms is still very contemporary and refined .
A wide range of active and educational activities are offered on a daily basis on the island and beyond. The “Island Spa” is located on a separate island which guests can reach by the traditional boat “Doni”. Also, guests of the hotel have the opportunity to take a cruise by the luxury yacht “Four Seasons Explorer” (39 m, 10 cabins and one suite). On the territory of the hotel there is a scientific center for research and protection of the underwater world, especially turtles, so guests can also take part in its programs.
The cuisine presented in the hotel is varied and of high quality. There are 4 restaurants and 2 bars on the island. In addition, guests can use the barbecue facilities on the sandy beach.
Among the disadvantages of the hotel it is worth noting that other islands and resorts with lower level and price category are located nearby.
However, the hotel managed to reach a decent number of regular customers who are returning to celebrate the wedding anniversary after the wedding ceremony on the island.
