Tell our talented chefs how you’d like your eggs to go with your international breakfast, complete with fresh orange juice, fresh ground coffee and loose leaf teas. Kandooma Café serves a lunch buffet in a casual outdoor setting, with the pleasure of a beach view and a wide variety of salads, piping hot dishes and varied dessert counter.
Come evening, Kandooma Cafe transforms from bright and breezy to soft and romantic, lit by the intimate glow of candles and buoyed by the chill-out beats of our music. The dinner menu stars a unique fusion of worldly cuisine spiced with touches of the Maldives. Kandooma Café will be bringing you a completely different buffet every night. Particularly popular are the live cooking sections where you choose the ingredients and the chef transforms them into delicious meals right in front of you. Opening hours: 06.00 – 22.00

Atop The Kitchen is The Deck, the best place in Kandooma to unwind and catch the sunset, moonlight or stars in a contemporary open air setting with our star gazer ready for your viewing pleasure. Our bartender, being the modern gentleman he is, has decided to go around the island to make the most astonishing tropical cocktail menu you’ll ever digitally see.

• Resort has a green well-planned territory
• A lot of restaurants/bars of different cuisine for different wishes. Food on breakfast/dinner (buffet) is not very varied, but delicious
• Water-sports activity
• Rooms are very stylish and modern, design of rooms are all the same – white and blue colors. All rooms are very spacious and romantic, clean and fresh. BEACH VEIW VILLA doesn’t have direct access to the beach
• Kids club
• Beach doesn’t have comfortable entering the sea. There are a lot of stones

The resort is a 45 minute speedboat ride from the Velana International Airport. The island is not too large and is comfortable. All the staff are very hospitable & friendly.
The resort itself does not have a very good house reef but there is plenty of water sports available and divers are also accommodated. As there is an adjacent local island, there is not much swimming area. The beach area is also not very large.
There are garden rooms, beach villas and water villas available on this resort. All villas are spacious and well decorated giving a sense of comfort within the accommodation.
The resort has and impressive kids club with a variety of activities for children which makes this resort ideal for families with small children. There are a lot of family oriented activities available on this resort. In addition to this, the resort also hosts a spa facility as well as a fully equipped gym and also facilitates outdoor sports courts.
There are 2 restaurants on this island, one main restaurant and one signature restaurant. Both cater to all guests. There is also a 2 bars where you can enjoy a variety of drinks in a relaxing setting.

Holiday Inn Resort Kandooma is located on Kandooma island in the South Male atoll, which is 35 km from Velana international airport, 40 minutes by speedboat (24/7), and one of the advantages is a free transfer for children under 4 years old. The hotel belongs to the world famous IHG hotel chain.
The hotel makes your stay pleasant by a warm and relaxing atmosphere, impeccable service, a variety of entertainment activities and delicious food. An excellent option for journey with children, because the hotel provides with a lot of amenities for kids such as children’s pool, children’s club for free (4-12 years), babysitting services: on request – chargeable, an animation program for children (entertainment and educational events), play station.
In addition to other categories, the hotel offers the most optimal accommodation for families with children or for group of friends, such as 2 Bedroom Family Beach House – detached two-storey villas with the direct access to the beach. On the ground floor there is open seating area, shower, living area with TV, dining table, private bathroom with shower. Bedrooms are on the second floor: 2 bedrooms with a kingsize bed and two twin twin beds, each bedroom has a bathroom, shower, balcony, minibar. It is worth noting that the hotel has a station which desalinates water, which is offered to guests during their stay.
The next, equally attractive advantage of this hotel is that besides the azure calm white sand lagoon, you can see impressive waves here. Correspondingly, – the right place for surfers.
Finally, the island is buried in dense colorful trees and greens around. And, for fans of outdoor activities, except for the gym and various water sports, there is a running track in the open air with the sound of waves and singing birds.

The resort is a 45 minute speedboat ride away from the airport. The island is not big and not very small, and you can reach any part of it by walk in 10-12 min maximum. I stayed in the Reef House category. It was nearby the main pool area. The room was looking fresh, comfortable and cosy.
The restaurants and food are just the best in Holiday Inn Kandooma. Here you can find international dishes, also Chinese, Indian, Vietnamese cuisine and seafood. All the portions are really big. The food is delicious. It’s a great service, as we understand, it’s high standard and quality of Holiday Inn chain.
In the evenings we were listening to live music band almost daily and once a week were DJ sets on a disco. Live band was singing surprisingly amazing. We were enjoying our stay and would recommend come here to people who are looking for great vibe, nice cuisine and high standard service.
I liked the resort for its stunning reef and great vibe. The best reef you can reach by boat. It’s around 5 min from the hotel. The reef is multicolored and full of fish. Lots of diving spots here. In my opinion, it’s really worth seeing it.
The cruise with dolphins offered by the hotel was very surprising! We saw lots of dolphins greeting the boat. It’s not a common thing to see so many dolphins all together in one spot. They were following the boat, jumping around and making us happy.
The Kandoo kids club is quite big. It has 2 floors and includes some rooms. There is a also a play ground with slides.
They provide for kids different activities like photo framу mankind, finding Nemo games, making craft, coral painting, card making, origami, cran collecting, bracelet making, TV games
SPA Kandooma Spa by COMO Shambhala has 5 treatments rooms (2 four couples). Has a large variety of massages and treatments for women, men and kids by COMO Shambhala.Should be great quality.
I did snorkled on the reef. Since it’s not near they provide a boat to reach it. They provide this snorkling trip by boat for all the guests free of charge up to 4 times per week if the weather is good (though it should be prebooked).
Lots of guests here are surfers from Australia, UK and Europe, because Holiday Inn Kandooma is famouse for its surf point.
