Switch Off for the Planet!

Earth Hour is a global event where individuals and communities come together to raise awareness about climate change

and demonstrate their commitment to protecting the planet. In the Maldives, Earth Hour is celebrated each year on the last Saturday of March.

During this hour, people turn off their lights and non-essential electrical appliances to conserve energy and reduce their carbon footprint.

However, Maldives’ resorts know how to make this hour both unforgettable and sustainable. The majority of resorts turn their lights off, and

prepare colorful programs with candlelight dinners, stargazing, fire shows, glow in the dark parties, and much more for their guests!

Let’s have a look at what Finolhu Resort Maldives prepared this year.

On 25 March 2023, the resort invites all its guests to participate in an hour of entertainment between 8:30 PM and 9:30 PM (Island Time).

For dinner on 25 March 2023, only the main restaurant (Beach Kitchen) is open, and guests can sit by the beach while being entertained by

Fire Performances, DJ, and the traditional Boduberu performance.

The Seafood themed night with a mix of a la carte specialties and “Earth-Hour” inspired treats will certainly dazzle the guests during this special hour.
